Peace during a storm.

This is the Idaho Falls Temple.  This is where I was married for Time and All Eternity.

This temple is located on Memorial Drive.  Next to the Snake River.

I love the feeling this area of town has.
It is peaceful.
It is welcoming.

It is home.

I met my husband on a blind date.
Our date consisted of playing on the grass by the river.
We did cartwheels.  We hung from trees.
I can close my eyes, and in my minds eye I can still see that shy boy.
He wasn't tall.  I always wanted to marry someone tall.
He was strong.  His arms were well defined.
His eyes drew my in.

We ate Onion Rings in the Stardust Restaurant.
His friend was our waiter.  His friend told us the onion rings didn't give bad breath, the catsup did.
I liked his friends.

Idaho Falls has many beautiful memories for me.
Being sealed to my parents in this temple will always be a special memory.

I have felt the presence of angels in my life.
Angels who protect me.
Angels who comfort me.
Angels who visit me...when I am in the Temple Of The Lord.

When we are surrounded by the storms of life, we can find peace inside the temple.
We can feel the spirit of those who love us when we are near a temple.
Just being on the temple grounds is a holy place.

I am happy to be a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints.
I am thankful I was married in the temple for time and all eternity.
I am thankful my children and husband will live with me forever, if we are worthy.

I am happy living in Idaho Falls again.
I have come full circle.
Here I find rest and peace.
I feel complete.

Today is Sunday.
I will be going to church alone.
My family is not here with me, but I know we are a family forever.

  1. We will both be sitting in the same meetings at the same exact time... only miles separate us. But that's ok. We have a bond much stronger than miles. I love you. :-) Thank you for the BEAUTIFUL photos of the temple. I love the one with the red flowers in the foreground.
